About Delta Compost

We like it Gnarly

At Delta Compost we are passionate about using our resources wisely which is why we love recycling organic waste into really great compost. We also aren’t afraid to work with the gnarly organic waste streams - making us and our compost unique. We know turning dirt into soil is key to helping Western Colorado thrive during drought and a hotter climate.  So we get excited about our jobs of turning gnarly feedstocks into healthy soil.

Brad Fowkes:

Transportation Supervisor

Brad works closely with Jake to run operations on-site and is our primary truck driver - coordinating everything to do with hauling waste to our facility. He’s also our lead on fleet maintenance. He brings decades of experience in operating heavy equipment, truck driver and working in handling different types of waste.

Wyatt Fowkes:

Yard Crew + Driver

When you show up to buy compost, you’ll most likely interact with Wyatt. When he’s not filling your truck with compost, he’s usually building and turning compost piles, helping maintain our equipment and vehicles and he got his CDL last year so he’s also one of our truck drivers.

Jake DeWolfe:

Founder + Chief Operating Officer

Jake runs the day-to-day operations at the Delta facility and ensures the team is managing the waste and always finding ways to increase waste diversion and improve our compost products. He has his CDL so you’ll also see him behind the wheel of our trucks hauling waste to our site. Jake has completed his Compost Operator Training with the Compost Research and Education Foundation. Jake brings years of experience in the water quality and water rights work.

Erica Sparhawk:

She manages grants and the budget and finance department along with HR requirements as CHT keeps hiring staff. Erica has completed the Compost Operator Training by the Compost Research and Education Foundation. Erica brings decades of experience working in the solar, efficiency and green building world.
